Welcome 2008... welcome new opportunities... welcome back, E-VB.NET! My partner and best friend Steve took the cudgel and hit a homerun with this upgrade. Thanks man... I know it was upon me more than you, but you are always there to save me and understand me.
2007 has been kind and gave me enough exciting challenges, successes, failures, motivation and inspiration. It was a busy year, and looking back I can say I did not have as much time as I wanted for myself - to think through, to assess how I had been. I feel I could have done a better job being a husband to my wife, father to my kids, son to my mom, brother to my brothers and sisters. But all things considered, I think I passed. I think it was because in 2007 I chose to be busy taking care of my professional life. I studied a lot, worked a lot, and made sure that I do my job well.
I plan to make 2008 different. I will spend more time with my family. I will email and connect with my friends more. I will refrain taking sidelines and work exclusively for one company (well, this won't happen until the middle of the year and beyond; negotiations to make this happen is still ongoing). By keeping just one job I will be able to satisfy requirements better. I will have time to focus on a an expertise that I want to enhance, and more importantly, have plenty of time for my wife and kids.
I think 2008 is my banner year. I really hope so. This is the time to be more positive and thankful for the blessings the Lord has given me and my loved ones.
I am keeping my fingers crossed... and I am doing something to make this happen.
